Just Curious

I know there are lots of postings here regarding what can be imported and brought in as a pensionado. What I am wondering about is if Canada's talks with Nicaragua succeed in a free trade agreement will all duties be waived as long as the products are made in Canada? For those of us with a few years to go until retirement this may be a deciding factor. We have already agreed to free trade with Honduras and reportedly Nicaragua is next, the aim being free trade with all of Central America.

No

Pretty simple answer. There are always markets that need protecting so, for some things, duties could disappear but never for all areas. You can compare it with other Canadian trade agreements or even the CAFTA agreement between Central America and the US.
