this is used to make a dessert called "Motajatol" , very nice if you have a taste for it

When I was a Kid, my mother used to make Motajatol often.

In Esteli, in the Farms, the Piñuela Plant it's used for Fencing purposes, since it is very thorny, and spreads out almost like a Agave plant.
