San Juan del Sur has a variety of foods for you to enjoy while you are there. There are many restaraunts which offer fresh seafood, pizza, Italian, Mediterranean, Latin American, American, International cuisine and of course local Nicaraguan dishes.

San Juan Pizzeria: This quaint little pizzeria not only serves pizza but also specializes in Italian food with fresh home-grown ingredients. They are especially famous for their homemade fettuccini. You have the option of dining in, taking out, or even having a hot pasta dish or pizza delivered right to the door of where you are staying in San Juan del Sur.
Bambu Beach Club: Located right on the beach, the Bambu Beach Club offers, everything from pizza to sushi, and has a fully stocked drink menu as well. Two attractive features of the Bambu Beach Club are its plunge pool and it’s free wifi internet access for clients.
Pau Hana: A relatively new beach front restaurant, the Pau Hana has a Hawaiian theme and serves mainly hamburgers, salads and general bar type snacks.
Barrio Cafe: If you aren’t too hungry and you’re looking for something light such as a sandwich, wrap, a dessert or just a decent cup of coffee then Barrio Cafe is for you.

The Crazy Crab: This is one of the most popular bars in San Juan del Sur. Open from 8PM until 5AM, this bar is a great place to mingle with the locals and other fellow travellers. The greatest thing about The Crazy Crap is the door prize. If you can last until 5AM they give you a free Nacatamale, a local delicacy made of cornmeal, chicken or pork, rice, raisins, carrots, anchiote ( a red spice to give color) and salt.
Bar Republika: Bar Republika sports the longest list of drinks you will find in San Juan del Sur. If you can name it they can pour it! They also have an awesome menu including American style barbecue boasting steak sandwhiches or pulled pork.
The Pier: The Pier is located right on the beach and is really relaxing. The points of interest for this San Juan del Sur bar are it’s Open Jam sessions with acoustic guitars on Wednesdays, nightly bonfires, Beach barbecues and free Wifi internet access for patrons. They even have hammocks to relax in while sipping your beer.
